J. Ben Whiteside has been a gallery owner and art collector since 1994, when he and his business partner, Jack Morris, first began to work together. They founded Morris & Whiteside Galleries in 2000 along with Morris & Whiteside Auctions. In 2002, the partnership acquired The Red Piano Art Gallery, which had been founded on Hilton Head Island in 1969. The Red Piano has been the premier fine art gallery in the Southeast for over fifty years. In 2015, J. Ben and Lyn Whiteside acquired Morris & Whiteside Galleries and combined gallery operations under The Red Piano Art Gallery Firm. In addition, J. Ben Whiteside is a member of the National Sculpture Society and a licensed South Carolina Auctioneer with over twenty five years of fine art auction experience in South Carolina, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
