Thomas Schaller is an award-winning artist, architect, author, and instructor based in New York. He has authored three books Architecture in Watercolor, The Art of Architectural Drawing, and Architect of Light: Watercolor Paintings by a Master. He has recorded an instructional course, Watercolor: The Power of Design, as well as Thomas W. Schaller’s Ultimate Watercolor Masterclass with PaintTube.tv.
His work has been featured in masters exhibitions in over 20 countries and is in private and public collections around the world including The Johan Museum of Art, Shanghai: The Watermark Museum, Fabriano: The Tchoban Foundation, Berlin: The National Museum of Watercolor, Mexico City: The Pacific Arts Foundation, Newport Beach.
A Signature Member of many arts organizations including the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society of America, Tom was appointed to the Advisory Board of American Watercolor and elected Artist Member of the California Art Club and the Salmagundi Art Club, NYC.
A two-time recipient of the Hugh Ferriss Memorial Prize and president emeritus of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators, he is a founding member of North American Watercolor Artists.
